László Göndör is an actor, performer and director. After he graduated as an applied economist (Eltecon, ELTE) he studied theater in Portland OR, USA (Portland Actors Conservatory). In 2014 he was admitted to the Portland Playhouse’s apprentice program for talented actors but  decided to return home to get wild in the independent theater scene of Budapest, Hungary. Since then, he has mainly worked in the domestic and foreign productions of TÁP Theater and Stereo Akt as an actor and co-creator. He currently ascribes three theatre shows as a director.
His first theatre piece, the freakshow-opera BajuSS, was nominated in the Best Musical-Entertainment Performance category by the Guild of Theatre Critics in 2018.
In 2020, he won the Staféta Award, a program supporting the best newcomer creators in independent theater in Hungary. His project will feature a theatrical duo with his grandmother who is a Holocaust survivor with a peculiar fate. The project is to be premiered in 2021, co-produced by ZSK, Orlai Production, and Trafó House of Contemporary Arts, among others.
