The Hungary Live Festival was held in New York City between 23-29 May 2022 in collaboration with ZSK2028.

The festival presented 5 plays at the HERE Arts Center, one of which was László Göndör's I Dreamed with Grandma.

Plays presented at the festival:

- A compelling reimagining of the bedtime story on stage.
- A contemporary opera portraying and transforming a woman’s inner stories through puppetry and contemporary dance.
- Secret police, informants, and surveillance. The observer is a critical story set in the 1960s about Hungary’s political past.
- A striking play shining a stark light on the brutal and shocking historical traumas in Hungary post-WWII.
- During quarantine, an artist moves in with their 97-year-old grandma, turning into a unique and unexpected experience.

The New York premiere would not have been possible without the festival, our partners and supporters Hungary Live Festival, JDC - Mozaik Zsidó Közösségi Hub, Dutch Jewish Humanitarian Fund, Zionist Federation of Hungary, Israeli Cultural Institute, Charles & Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation, JCC Budapest - Bálint House, SzínMűHely Foundation, Centrál Médiacsoport, Endre Somogyi.
