This year's Hanukkah Festival of Jewish Culture 2028 is dedicated to the life and work of Miksa Róth, as the Aurora building was one of Róth's workshops.

The fourth program of the Hanukkah Festival

≡ 12.11.2023 MONDAY ≡

⇨ 17:00 - 20:00
Two-color rhizograph postcard making with Hurrikan Press. Maximum of 8 participants, 2 types of holiday postcards each, 2x14 to take home. Reduced price for the workshop thanks to Hanukkah: 5,000 HUF.

⇨ WHAT IS RISO?
Risograph is an automated reproduction technique similar to screen printing. The machine prints color by color, using (usually) non-opaque inks so that layers are printed on top of each other to produce new colors. Because Riso does not emit heat and uses soy-based inks, it is an environmentally friendly alternative to color printing and photocopying, as long as it is not used to print 1-1 slip.

⇨ WHAT WILL BE PRODUCED AT THE WORKSHOP?
After short experimentation together, everyone can make two A6 postcards in 14 different sizes, so everyone can go home with 28 postcards in their pockets.

⇨ WHO IS THE WORKSHOP FOR?
Anyone aged between 6 and 99 who can cut, glue, or draw with felt-tip pens.

⇨ WHAT TO BRING?
Nothing. We will make the artwork to be printed on-site. Paper, scissors, glue, writing utensils, and paint will be provided - but of course, you can also try out the tools you've brought.

⇨ TIME POINT
Monday 11 December, 5-8 pm
Please arrive on time; we would like to start the session with a print together!

⇨ LOCATION
FKSE Studio 4, 35 Rottenbiller Street.
